Explore Maida Vale
Maida Vale is a beautiful neighbourhood, an oasis of calm providing a shelter from the hustle of central London. Framed by London’s most attractive green spaces – in Queen’s Park, Hyde Park and Regent’s Park – it is best known for the canals that bisect the area, rightfully providing its name of ‘Little Venice’. You can walk along the Grand Union Canal towards Camden, and take a break to explore your wild side in the renowned London Zoo.
The area has a long association with pubs and bars – being named after the Hero of Maida inn that used to lie on nearby Edgware Road. Some of London’s best bars can be found here, not least by the canals. While not far from Notting Hill and Portobello Market, the area itself is filled with an extensive range of boutique cafés, restaurants and shops.
