Explore Notting Hill
It is a charming area of London with its little shops, cafes, bars and pubs as well oh-so-good-looking buildings with their exuberantly colourful doors. It may seem commercialised, but one can find a special atmosphere wandering around the place: be it the multicultural spirit of the outdoor Portobello market or mix of new and old Victorian homes.
Each year there is the internationally famous Notting Hill Carnival: a festival and street-party over a long weekend drawing from the multicultural heritage of the area. Away from this picturesque corner of London lies Maida Vale and the canals of Little Venice to the north, while the city centre and West End are only 10 minutes away by tube.
