Local area recommendations & all the information you need to plan your stay

  1. We loved the proximity to beautiful Battersea Park and the warm welcome from the agency representative Hannah!

  2. We loved this accommodation. Comfortable & homely but also well equipped and furnished with obvious quality & style. Obviously regularly used & maintained by the owner. Location was great for our needs & the neighbourhood was quiet and clean. It was easy to get to - walking distance to Clapham junction station & had several great dinner and brunch places close by (would recommend 'Flour to the People'). It was also very close to Battersea park & walking distance over the river to Chelsea (25mins to the Flower Show). We loved our stay & would highly recommend this property.

  3. It was our pleasure to stay in this listing in London during our family trip. We recently stayed in this place for 4days and, in short, we enjoyed this listing a lot. Location, all the facilities, and host's hospitality were all good. I strongly recommend this place to all airbnb guests!!

  4. First, the positives of our stay: The house does look like the pictures. And it is well-equipped for light cooking. There are also tons of good books to read in the master bedroom library, from Zadie Smith to mystery novels. And the neighbors were quite friendly. Also UnderTheDoormat was good about communicating with us; they always replied within about 12 hours max. And though the location is far from main London attractions, there are bus stops in walking distance. Get an Oyster card and you can hop on the bus and get to most places in 30-60 minutes. Lastly, Battersea Park is just a few blocks away, and it's an amazing park with loads of stuff to do for kids from a playground to a zoo to a canopy walk with zip line. Now for the negatives: We were told only one day before our arrival that we'd have to move to another house the last two days of our stay (we booked the house for 7 days) due to a "mistake." This was highly inconvenient for us, and we made that known. In the end, we didn't have to move, but it's very stressful to have your accommodations changed by someone else without much notice when you're heading to another country for a week. There was also a cleanliness issue in the kitchen. Mainly mold in the fridge and dishwasher. The dishwasher actually smelled awful from the mold, and we are a bit disgusted to have to put our food in the fridge. In addition, the shower was broken when we arrived, which was very inconvenient. They did fix it just before we left, so that may not be an issue now. And while there is a washer, it is tiny; and there is no dryer and just a couple small racks to dry clothes. We made it work, though. Lastly, it was quite hot when we were there and there was only one fan. Our son had to sleep with us at night because there was no fan for his room. And you might consider using Ocado to have groceries delivered to you as there aren't too many stores nearby. There is a co-op that's about a ten-minute walk away, but it you have heavy bags,

  5. It is a very nice house located in a very lovely quite community. Although some of the facilities were not very fashion and new, the excellent service provided by UnderTheDoormat team made it ignorable. Very good experience indeed. Thanks!
