London’s first – and some say best – American restaurant, Christopher’s Covent Garden, continues its 25-year tradition of serving up amazing Thanksgiving fare in 2018. Diners will feast on an indulgent three-course menu featuring a slow-cooked ballotine of organic turkey and all the trimmings: cornbread, chestnut cherry stuffing, buttered beans and more! Be sure to leave room for pudding, too – the baked peanut butter and Graham cracker cheesecake is not to be missed.

Farmacy

Notting Hill’s trendy plant-based restaurant and bar will host their first supper club this year in honour of Thanksgiving. Farmacy are offering a spectacular celebration of autumn produce with a three-course sharing menu that is sure to delight vegans and omnivores alike. Diners can ease into the evening with mouthwatering mezze including chestnut hummus and baked salsify sticks; followed by a hearty Forager’s Pie or Farmacy’s acclaimed ‘Winter Bowl’; and, finally, a delightful trio of desserts: chocolate cups, rice and coconut pudding, and a classic American pumpkin pie.

CUT at 45 Park Lane

For a true fine dining experience, head to Wolfgang Puck’s Park Lane restaurant over Thanksgiving. On the big day itself, diners can indulge in a sumptuous three-course dinner including roasted squash soup; roast turkey served with potato puree and black truffles; and an opulent pumpkin pie cheesecake. Or, for those wishing to extend the Thanksgiving experience beyond 22 November, CUT is offering a festive twist on its famous American afternoon tea. Running until 30 November, the special menu will include delicious themed treats such as fried turkey and buttermilk bisquets, bacon and maple macarons, and caramel apple and candied pecan cake pops.

Smith & Wollensky

For one of the most traditional Thanksgiving menus in town, look no further than American dining institution Smith & Wollensky. Though this restaurant is most commonly known for its steaks, on 22 November it will offer up a homely yet luxurious Thanksgiving experience, with corn chowder, roast turkey (complete with sausage and cornbread stuffing), and family-style sharing sides on the menu. For dessert? Pumpkin pie, of course!

MYPIE at Skyline Skating

A somewhat unorthodox – but nonetheless exciting – addition to our Thanksgiving line-up is Skyline Skating, the rooftop hideway atop John Lewis’ Oxford Street store. MYPIE, who host a pop-up restaurant within the location, will be giving away 100 free festive pies on Thursday 22 November. To win your delicious turkey, bacon and stuffing pie, all you have to do is show up around noon and name a President of the United States with the first name ‘John’.

Even if you don’t bag a free pastry, Skyline Skating is still worth a look: the location hosts a mini ice-rink, live music, delicious food and drink courtesy of MYPIE and Sipsmith London, and a host of chalet-style cabins to relax in.

MYPIE will be in residence at the John Lewis Rooftop Garden until the 6 January.

The Blues Kitchen

If you’re hoping to experience a true taste of Americana in London, The Blues Kitchen in Camden is a must. Live music is the big draw here, with regular shows, DJs and even free harmonica lessons – but the food is excellent, too.

This year, The Blues Kitchen will celebrate Thanksgiving with a feast straight from the Deep South and music to match. Visitors to the Camden branch can chow down on New Orleans gumbo, buttermilk fried turkey, and twice-baked mac ‘n’ cheese whilst listening to live blues from the house band.
