One such way is to visit the Southbank Centre. Not only will you be granted a fantastic view of the fireworks (from the Southbank’s own riverside terraces), but also a ticket to the Southbank’s special party. And what a party it’s set to be! The venue is being transformed into a five-floor extravaganza, with themed rooms, live acts, six bars, and fifteen DJs spinning the decks.

The Shard
The Shard offers so much more than spectacular views – though, if you’re scoping out another destination from which to view the fireworks, you’d be hard pressed to find a better vantage point than from the top of London’s most impressive skyscraper. On arrival you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious welcome cocktail and bask in the party atmosphere, bopping to the sounds of the resident DJ. Then, at midnight, revel in a 360-degree view of the illuminated London skyline as the fireworks light up the sky. Truly magical!

Tickets start at just £20, making it one of the more affordable shindigs in town. With a black-tie dinner on offer, as well as the chance to have your favourite song performed by their inimitable house band, a fun, frenetic party vibe is guaranteed – and, if you’re having a great time, you can dance your way into 2020 without skipping a beat (the club will stay open until 4 am!).

There’s live music, too, and a six-course feast to keep you going until the wee hours.

The London Cabaret Club
Speakeasy-style parties have been all the rage this year – meaning that London Cabaret Club’s Gatsby-themed New Year’s Eve event is bang on trend. Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel The Great Gatbsy, and hosted within the gorgeous art deco surroundings of the Bloomsbury Ballroom, this is certain to be an elegant and atmospheric New Year’s Eve party. A four-course dinner and a cabaret show featuring West End performers, fine wines and champagne, and special party bags are all on offer to ensure a night of revels that the millionaire Jay Gatsby and his crew would enjoy. After the clock has struck midnight, late-night partygoers can head to the venue’s newly-revamped Rose Bar for bespoke cocktails and dancing until 5 am.

Another party with an impressive view, the popular Skylight roof-top bash returns for 2019 and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Enjoy sensational cocktails and amazing music from acclaimed party-starters, Gold Teeth DJs, as well as a great view of the local fireworks at midnight. Alternatively, if you’ve got a hankering to see the main Mayor of London Fireworks Display, you can catch all the river action via the venue’s twelve screens, from which they’ll be screening the illuminations live at midnight. If you’re still feeling steady on your feet, Skylight’s popular festive ice rink will also be open throughout the evening, allowing you to glide gracefully (or wobble wildly) into a new year!
