Luxurious Apartment in a Grade II*' Listed Estate

This bright 2 bedroom, self-catered apartment is beautifully located within the Grade II*'listed Netherby Hall and is fully furnished to a very high standard for 4 guests. As you enter the home you will be greeted with a stunning glass staircase going through the centre of the open plan living space with original oak beams. A large seated area is the perfect space to relax in front of the 40-inch smart TV connected to the WiFi and a wood burning stove, then follows through to the fully a dining area, seating 6 people and a fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay including a coffee machine, dishwasher, washer/dryer and induction hob.

Once upstairs, the very spacious master bedroom steals your attention. It benefits from an en-suite bathroom with both a roll-top freestanding bath and a walk-in shower, a comfortable king size bed, luxurious dressing gowns and towels. A second bedroom provides good sized twin beds situated under more original oak beams and from the room there are beautiful views of the grounds. Upstairs you will also find a family bathroom with a shower perfect for children of all ages.

Outside the apartment you will find a small lawned area and access to 36 acres of parkland and a Victorian pleasure garden. The perfect space to soak up the sun and enjoy some fresh air. There is also access to a private parking space for those days spent exploring and CCTV that covers the grounds for extra security.

The history of Netherby Hall dates back to Roman times, and parts of the grand house may even have been built using stones from a Roman fort. Beautifully decorated, the Sir Walter Scott apartment is thoroughly modern, with plenty of touches of 21st century luxury.

The apartment sits in 36 acres of parkland, where you can stroll across manicured lawns, enjoy a Victorian pleasure garden and walk through a walled garden that stretches for over an acre. The estate is nestled in north Cumbria, with spectacular views over the undulating landscape to the Scottish hills beyond. Glorious walks abound, including a path alongside the River Esk, a burbling brook that is beautifully clear.

We are happy to accept pets at no additional charge, we just need to be notified in advance of arrival.

Our standard check-in time is 16:00 – 20:00. We will arrange for someone to meet you in the home to welcome you, so we ask that you let us know your planned arrival time in advance.

If you would like a check-in after 20:00 please let us know and this can be arranged for a small fee.

Our standard check-out time is 09:00-11:00 with an early or late check-out available on request.
