This five bedroom, four bathroom luxury chateau is the perfect, family-friendly retreat with wonderful views of the sloping valleys of the Dordogne.
The beautiful property is located in a tranquil spot and features a terrace, infinity pool with a 180° view of the Dordogne, hot tub and BBQ grill.
On the ground floor, there is a cosy lounge with log fireplace for relaxing on cooler days, a larger lounge with Apple TV and a charming kitchen overlooking the pool. The rustic style dining room with tiled floor includes a large, wooden table that can comfortably seat 10 guests.
The master bedroom has a French-style sleigh bed and an en-suite bathroom with roll top bath. The en-suite is shared with another double bedroom. There are two further double bedrooms both with en-suites plus a single bedroom. There is an additional shower room and toilet downstairs.
The chateau has free wireless internet, ample parking and there is also an assortment of five adult and child bicycles for guests wishing to explore the local country-side on two wheels.
Set in four acres at the top of the valley, guests can enjoy fantastic views of the Dordogne and relax with a glass of wine whilst watching hot air balloons float in the sky at sunrise or sunset. In colder months, the region transforms into a picturesque, snowy winter wonderland.
This property is perfect for families and friends seeking tranquillity in the heart of the Dordogne.
The Location
The Dordogne is famous for its beautiful villages and breath-taking landscape as well as its medieval and Renaissance buildings. Two miles, or a ten minute drive from the property is Beynac-Et-Cazenac, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France and home to a medieval castle that also forms the view from the chateau’s hot tub. Just a few miles further afield is the medieval town of Sarlat-La-Caneda, famous for its cuisine.
Wineries at Bordeaux and St-Emilion are within easy reach and many operators offer hot air balloon flights over this famous region.
