The Best Dog Walks In London

The wait is over!

It turns out that you loved our guide to Cat Cafés in London so much that it made dog-lovers jealous, so we just had to create a similar blog post dedicated to our more barky friends. “Dog Cafés” are sadly (happily?) not a thing in London just yet, but you’re in luck: dogs prefer running in circle/puddles/mud more anyway.

Whether you’ve got a large dog that desperately needs tiring out or a smaller one that’d frankly rather be in your handbag, we’ve got your dog-walking game covered.

Long Park Walks

Watching our furry friends run around is officially classed as one of the greater joys in this life. Nothing beats the sight of tails wagging, ears flying and tongues flopping. If you want to really treat your dog pals to a proper run-around, these are some of the best parks to go!

If you’re looking for a big park with plenty of nature for you and your dogs to explore, we’ve listed some of London’s incredible parks that are sure you keep you and your 4-legged friend busy for at least a few hours. We’re not saying that getting a dog is essential to you keeping that New Year’s Resolution to stay active this year, but it would certainly help.

Shorter Park & City Walks

If you’ve got limited time or the weather won’t allow for a hefty walk, you don’t have to give up your daily walk! Getting your body out of the house and into the fresh air is just as necessary for you as it if for your dog, so really take this time to take a small break and switch off from your daily stresses and responsibilities.

When it comes to little dog legs, exceptionally long walks aren’t always an option. We don’t want you to feel like you have to go big or stay home in London. There are plenty of smaller parks and city walks that you can take your puppy pals on to get that exercise in and nap together later.

Dog-Friendly Cafés

Every good dog walk comes with a pit-stop. Whether you’ve just been out for a stroll or are feeling a little guilty for leaving your pups at home, we’ve got you covered! Now you can take your best furry friends out with you wherever you go, without having to worry about leaving them in the rain while you go into a café to get your latte.

We’ve picked the brains of all our dog-owner friends for recommendations for all the best pup-friendly places to stop for a drink and a nibble. These are also great places to go if you’re looking to meet other dog owners and like-minded people in your area. Unlike you, dogs aren’t afraid to bark up a conversation with a stranger, so make use of the world’s greatest wing-dog and make yourself some new friends!
